Banjolele Machining!

Tonight’s tool of choice, the Gearbox Labs Bridgeport!

With the equipment and assistance of Gearbox Labs, I tried out milling today. The objective to see if some designs for banjolele hoop claws are actually viable.

A little bulky…

They are a bit chunky, and far from complete, but in principle, they work. Going to make some better drawings and work out the mechanics of the process a bit better before trying again, but this opens an exciting new avenue for future instrument design…

Testing a rough fit, as yet not cleaned up…
