Mid-process original ukulele

Just finished neck dovetail

Been a while, been working on this ukulele for a bit, interrupted by some pottery work that will get detailed soon (a bunch just failed in glaze firing, so back to step one again there.) I thought I should make an update on the current ukulele to keep things alive 😉

After the first two attempts, that were both designs borrowed from famous examples, this is an original shape. Though still pretty traditional in general form. Still debating whether I should put binding on it. That is a process I need to practice a bit though.

I have the beginnings of a es-335 style arch-top sitting on the table, but I might revisit the first two designs again to see if I can do a better job second try. I do thin my skills are improving, but my speed isn’t…
