Halloween progress, step 2(ish)

Looks surprised…

First step is to do a basic framing of the facial structure. Hot glue and some narrow strips of crushed corrugated cardboard, (cut parallel to the corrugation and then bent around my finger in a technique reminiscent of curling ribbon) serve pretty well as a more or less wireframe structure for the next layer.

The trick is to have just enough structure to hold up without weighing it down too much. Eventually the acrylic skin will be fairly durable, but that’s still several layers away.

Would you accept an apple from this?
